Okay, so I realize I haven't been active for quite some time, and I need some explaining to do. First off, I just got internet in the apartment I share with my boyfriend. We recently moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma (going on 2 months ago) and have been slowly unpacking and whatnot (we don't have any furniture lol)
And we've been having a lot of car trouble >.< I hadn't posted on here, but back in December or something I got into a car accident while I was still living with my parents, they had to junk my car because the airbags went off and it would cost more just to replace them than to get a new car, so no car for me. I didn't drive much after that, I was (and still am) a bit nervous about driving, I don't want to get hurt. I only drove maybe 3 or so times between then and now. Well, my boyfriend left me his car about 2 weeks ago so I could go see this lady about adopting a kitten (sadly, I didn't get to adopt her, another family did) all I had to do was drop him off at school and pick him up. Not so bad I guess, I hadn't been to his school before that morning so I was a bit nervous about finding it, but hey, that's why I have a smartphone.
I went to Petsmart to talk to the lady about the cat, lo and behold, she wasn't there, and none of the workers knew when she would be only that she's usually there in the afternoons. So, I got a little shirt for my chihuahua, so my trip wasn't a complete waste and went home. 1:00 came around and I figured I'd leave a bit early to go pick up my boyfriend just in case I did get lost he wasn't waiting there for too long (he gets off at 2:30). I kid you not, I got onto the highway and made it 1.10 miles away from my apartment before the car acts likes it's going to explode and stops WHILE I'M ON THE THIRD LANE ON THE HIGHWAY!! Luckily, I was able to pull as close as I could to the guard rail with the car already dying (and it died on the on ramp). Now, if you've ever visited Tulsa you would know how people drive around here. 70 miles per hour speed limits are merely a suggestion here, people (cops included) will blaze on past you going 85+ weaving in and out of cars like nobodies business. So, here I am, in the car with my chihuahua, in the middle of Tulsa heat, in a car that I don't know what the hell is wrong with it, a mile away from the apartment, and I can't get out of the car because trucks and other cars are speeding past my door.
I text my mom and tell her what happened, then I call my boyfriend to tell him I won't be able to pick him up and I actually need to be picked up. He asks his friend if he could get a ride and his friend asks "Did your car break down?" my boyfriend replies yes, and his friend says he drove past me, but didn't know I was his girlfriend (I had only met 2 of his friends before meeting him later) and he'll give him a ride. They get there (me and bela were in the car for nearly 2 hours T.T it was hot, luckily I had tea and was able to get her to drink some because the poor dog was panting like crazy) and his friend looks at the engine. They are looking over it and can't seem to find the problem, until his friend leans over and can see through the engine (the piston hit the block? Is that right?), well we ended up having to leave the car (it eventually got towed and we are still trying to find it)
That's why I don't like driving, I have bad luck with cars apparently!
Second, I was terminated from my job..because I couldn't get there. The shift that I worked started at 8AM and ended around 2-3pm. Only like 2 other people got there when I did, but didn't leave when I did, plus they live in the opposite direction of me. I called in and told my manager and supervisor about my car troubles and they said okay just for me to let them know when I'd be in. I ended up not being able to make it in for 3 days (my whole work week even though I'm hired as full-time, it was crap. I went from 37 hour weeks to 20!). My boyfriends brother was able to drive up here and let us use the bug, but my boyfriend didn't feel comfortable driving standard, so we drove to Dallas to meet his mom halfway and switch the car for the truck, then we drove back up to Tulsa. We get in and I go into work the next day with my uniform, apron, and hat in my backpack. I talk to my manager who says I was a no-call no-show for 3 days and his hands were tied. Whatevs, you could have called me or emailed me before I showed up for work! I gave him my stuff, then left. There is a target behind the restaurant, so I walked around in there for a while, bought an umbrella (it was raining), some stickers for my mom, and a tea, then started hoofing it back home (3.5 miles) in the rain T..T (my boyfriend was already at school).
Ugh, so that's what I've been through just the past few weeks.
I've been making lots of charms though to post on etsy, and will be uploading pictures on here when they are all finished. I've also been trying to learn to crochet, so I could make some little charms and stuff to sell as well.
Sorry, for the wall of text, but thank you for reading if you did

Have a DA day
